The World Tour: Sleeping With Sirens and Pierce the Veil featuring Custom built CryoFX® Co2 Jets

Two world famous bands share one massive stage with CryoFX Co2 Cannons!

Bands Pierce the Veil and Sleeping with Sirens Kick Off their World Tour together Featuring CryoFX® Custom built C02 Jets Special Effects

Two popular bands, Pierce the Veil and Sleeping with Sirens, are on one amazing World Tour with CryoFX® C02 Cannons. The world tour kicked off on January 23, 2015 in San Diego, California. Their first show was one to remember as the show featured heart- stopping smoke special effects from CO2. The show was held at Viejas Arena at San Diego State University in California. On Friday January 23, 2015 in San Diego, the hometown of the co- headlining band Pierce the Veil, the world tour of Sleeping with Sirens and Pierce the Veil kicked off with fans filling up the entire Viejas Arena to see a truly remarkable show featuring smoke special effects from CO2. The stage FX team and the bands worked hard together to put on that breath- taking show, and shows to come on their world tour together.

The CryoFX® team worked hard to set up their Co2 special effect custom equipment, and took a role in setting up the jets that will be used in that show and on the shows to come during the world tour. This team, specializing in special effects, took their time in creating one of the best stage FX shows in all time. The team took the time to strategically place all of the jets around the entire area of the performance stage, and accurately coordinating the precise cue points for the CO2 blasts from the jets to ensure that the show was accurately equipped with the best smoke special effects from CO2.

Sleeping with Sirens opened up the show, and fans in the arena were mesmerized by the outstanding special effects from the jets. When Sleeping with Sirens performed on stage the fans closest to the stage were cooled down in the hot stage area by the blasts from the Co2 special effect custom equipment. All of the fans that filled the Viejas Arena were completely amazed by the dazzling special effects from the CO2 jets that were placed around the stage. These effects were a wonderful addition to Sleeping with Sirens already outstanding performance. All of the contributing elements of the show came together into one heart- stopping performance at Viejas Arena. Everything in the show from the CO2 jets, subtle fog rolls during the shown and multicolored flashing lights that filled the stage area, and above all the outstanding music played by both bands Sleeping with Sirens and Pierce the Veil.

Sleeping with Sirens finished off their set with three of their greatest and most memorable hits. The three songs were their famous You're Audrey Hepburn, If I'm James Dean, and of course If You Can't Hang. Sleeping with Sirens finished their show with their greatest hits, and the absolutely amazing special effects from the CO2 jets and fog. Once Sleeping with Sirens finished their set a thirty minute set change went underway. While setting up the stage for co- headliner band Pierce the Veil the crew members carefully repositioned and strategically placed all of the CryoFX® jets on stage for the upcoming set. Along with repositioning the CO2 jets the crew members set up more CO2 tanks ready for use. The fans in the Viejas Arena waited anxiously for a long thirty minutes until the band Pierce the Veil was finally ready to make their entrance, and perform their set that was bound to be as outstanding as Sleeping with Sirens set performed right before them. Pierce the Veil ran onto the stage to be greeted with numerous blast from the CO2 jets and confetti. The band finally emerged onto the stage, and truly made a Grand Entrance and great introduction for their show.

Pierce the Veil opened their set with some of their biggest hits Bulletproof Love and Caraphernelia. Like the Sleeping with Sirens set, Pierce the Veil's set has outstanding elements that made the whole set come together perfectly into an outstanding performance. The set included great special effects using CO2 jets and subtle fog rolls throughout the set, and it all came together with the amazing music the band played during their set. Later on in the set Pierce the Veil performed their hit King for a Day alongside with the vocalist Kellin Quinn from the band Sleeping with Sirens.

Both bands, Sleeping with Sirens and Pierce the Veil, played an absolutely breath- taking show to kick off their world tour. It was not only the music that made that show so great, the CO2 jets also wowed the audience. The CO2 jets special effects made a huge impact during the show on stage. The combination of the music and special effects made their show truly outstanding, and both bands will be performing together for the rest of the show and World Tour along with the CO2 jets and special effects that captivated the audience.

Co2 Jet Machine or Cryo Jet Machine? It's all the same!

Heading into 2014, the demand for Co2 Effects Equipment is larger than ever! It has almost become the necessity for Clubs, Performances, Concerts and much more to include in their lineups. If you haven't had a chance to experience it, definitely try to make your way into a local venue which has a Co2 Jet Machine, or otherwise known as a Co2 Jet System installed and see first hand how it can cool the venue down drastically, as well as add another dimension to the show! Depending where you go to visit, you will most likely find a CryoFX Co2 Cannon or Cryo Cannon at the heart of the Cryo Jet System you went to see! An easy identifier is the CryoFX trademarked logo or by looking at the Cryo Hose as the hose will most likely be one of CryoFX Signature Brand of High Pressure Cryo Hoses!

As of a few years ago, the popularity of Co2 Jet Systems has widespread across not only the United States, but also the entire world! People from Countries all over are interested in what a Co2 Jet Machine has to offer and how it will benefit their performance. What does one do when interested? Search online would be the first action. Of course online has many outlets and so much information it may be hard to decide which is relevant and which is not, or bogus! At any given point it would be easiest if you could just locate an expert in the field, someone who knows everything there is to know about a Cryo Cannon and how it relates to a Cryo Jet System. Maybe you've looked and maybe you have not. Regardless, we have too, and for the most part, there seems to be only one company who sells only Co2 Cannons and Co2 Jet Systems, also known as Cryo Cannons and Cryo Jet Systems, respectively.

After some drawn out research, CryoFX is the only US based company who only specializes in Co2 Special Effects equipment, and one of the top few in the world! We've found others who carry Co2 Jet Machines however they do not specialize in only Special Effects Co2, they also have split focuses on other special effects areas such as confetti cannons, snow machines, fog machines and more. This may be ok but as a potential customer, when you are dealing with something new, working with a professional who only deals with Co2 is the best route, especially when a company, like CryoFX, focuses only on co2 special effects so they will know all details and information to your questions.

As we have gathered from searching online, there seems to be many types and styles of Co2 Jet Machines and Cryo Jet Machines. The question is always, which one do I buy? We would recommend choosing a brand name and a Cryo Cannon that is backed by trust, a Co2 Cannon for sale with a warranty and much supporting information from a reputable source that knows what their doing, instead of some one off seller trying to make a quick buck, who will not care about the customer! All in all there are many decisions and choices to make! Just make sure you make the right ones! We have made the wrong ones and have paid the consequences for doing so, and therefore are able to write about it here and hopefully give some good advice so you won't do the same!

The many names of a CO2 Jet - Cryo Cannon

When talking about a CO2 Jet, you may have heard many names used before or you may have not. Whether you have or not, we will clarify some of the confusion here and get the nitty gritty on what each of the names means and how they relate to what you has become the focal point of todays special effects industry for both DJs and Professional Events. When searching for a Cryo Cannon online you may have seen "CO2 Jet Blaster", "Handheld Cryo Gun", "Cryo Jet", or "C02 Jet" and have instantly become confused as to what the difference is between them.

First off, there is a difference between each one and therefore some things should be taken into account before following through with a click on that link titled "CO2 Jets For Sale". Essentially you have two categories, mounted and non-mounted jets, otherwise called handheld units. The handheld cryo gun falls into this category as by its name and of course its build since it is more like a fog sprayer than anything else. The mounted category contains the rest of the names mentioned above, Cryo Cannon, C02 Jet, CO2 Jet Blaster, Cryo Jet, and CO2 Jet. As a side note, all the units here fall under the special effects category and are used for special fx only.

So now onto the difference between the 5 names that sound so much alike. To start, a CO2 Jet, mistyped C02 Jet with a zero before the 2, is merely a piece of equipment that sprays Liquid Carbon Dioxide out of it to create white fog that is very cold. CO2 is the proper abbreviated name which has something to do with the checmical makeup, therefore displaying the 2 in the name (ex. CO2 Cannon). A CO2 Jet Blaster is simply a CO2 Jet, but can be a higher output model, hence the "Blaster" at the end. For Cryo Cannon and Cryo Jet, these are names which have come to attention as the word "Cryo" means "Cold" or "Of Low Temperature". So when used in names such as Handheld Cryo Gun, Cryo Cannon, and Cryo Jet it is referring to low temperature output of what the unit will be spraying.

Having clarified the nomenclature of the names, we have a better understanding of what means what. With this said, and to get very technical with it, a CO2 Jet would be different from a Cryo Jet in the sense that the first deals with CO2 only and the second deals with anything cold. The same would go for Cryo Cannon and CO2 Cannon as well. We've already covered the mistype of C02 Jet so that's handled and out of the way. The CO2 Jet Blaster being a higher output model of a regular jet covers that name. The Handheld Cryo Gun name suggests it can sprray anything cold, but should only be used for spraying liquid carbon dioxide and not Liquid Nitrogen or anything else as it could ruin the machine. Another pointer to be made about this name is a Cryo Gun is also used in the medical field to freeze skin defects such as warts. You will want to make sure you are getting a special effects model such as the one pictured here at www.CryoFX.com

DIY CO2 Cannon - Homemade CO2 Jet, Good or Bad idea?

In this day, everyone wants to save a buck. Of course, making your own Homemade CO2 System or Homemade CO2 Cannon is beneficial, or so you think! A few factors come into why one would want to make such system. The first is to save money. The second might be the fact of learning something new and the ability to say, "I built that" once complete. Regardless of what the reasoning is, there are definitely some things you should know before taking on a project like this. Of course you can always go the route of buying a CO2 Jet System, for nearly the same cost of making one, from the guys at www.CryoFX.com. Well get to that later though and get to the point first.

Once you've made your mind up your going to make a Homemade CO2 Gun or Homemade CO2 Cannon, the first step is creating a parts list. To do this you have to fully understand the system and its operation. Many people will go to home depot, buy some parts they think will work, throw them together, and now they have a system. Well, these are the people that end up spending money for nothing because their system doesn't work or breaks within a few uses. Once you've got a decent parts list put together, you cruise to home depot or wherever your buying the parts from, and spend hours on end both locating the parts for your DIY CO2 Jet and asking the employees there which parts will work best for what your trying to do. You might even tell them flat out that your making a homemade co2 cannon. Regardless, 80% of the time, they're going to ask, WTF is that?...or even worse, they will act like they know exactly what your trying to do and start pointing you in the "right" direction for parts to use. So you'll continue on and purchase the parts.

After you have spent hours in home depot buying parts for your homemade CO2 jet and talking with employees, your finally on the way home to make this contraption. You think, "All I have left is an hour or two and I'll be good to go". So there you have it, two hours later, you've just started piecing this DIY CO2 Cannon together, and your running into problems and questions you didn't even think of until now. You can't back out now cause your hours or days deep into this project and the finished product is so close. So, you make some phone calls or better yet, hit up some youtube videos on "How to make a CO2 Cannon" and all you find after hours more of time, is guys talking about to make the cryo systems but non answer your question. Even if they do, at least another hour or four have gone by and your still piecing this diy cryo jet together.

Co2 Jets, Cryo Guns, Cryo Jets at www.cryofx.com
Now you've finished building your very first homemade Co2 Gun or homemade Co2 cannon or whatever it is you made and now that the "hard" parts done, its time to get the CO2. So you make some calls, find some co2 distributors and get some co2. You get home, hook the co2 tank up and test your system. You hear the loud noise but don't see any white fog coming out like the videos or pictures show. So you do some more research, if you havn't already, and find out the correct tank to use. Maybe you purchased a tank from CryoFX which is the correct tank or spoke to them about what type of co2 tank / co2 cylinder you need. Anyways, the co2 tank is hooked up, the system is ready to go, and you fire it off. If you haven't blown your hoses or joints out or frozen your parts to the point of cracking, your lucky, at least for now.

Its almost 90% guaranteed within the first 30 days of using your DIY CO2 Jet, you will have some type of problems with your homemade co2 jet system. These problems could range from:
  • Hoses EXPLODING from pressure
  • Cracked Brass parts or cracked fittings
  • Leaking joints since different parts were or weren't used
  • Frozen valves, frozen fittings, frozen hoses from temperature of CO2
  • Bubbles in your hoses
  • Minimal output of CO2 from wrong size parts/valves
  • Not to mention Safety issues when these things explode.
The last one is of course the main concern. These CO2 Jet Systems are under large amounts of pressure, at the minimum 350 psi, with an average pressure of 800-1000 psi. If one of these blows in your face or in someones face around you, lights out for a quick minute. Your homemade co2 jet has just cost someone much more time in recovery than it cost time and effort to make.

These are just a few of the problems we at CryoFX here about when clients call us and explain they were part of a DIY CO2 Cannon project. To second that, almost every single one stated they would have rather just bought a CO2 Jet System from CryoFX in the first place since it would have SAVED THEM SO MUCH TIME!

When you compare the two options: Buy CO2 Jet System vs. Homemade CO2 Jet System you really have to be real with yourself and ask, "Do I want to save a few dollars and spend hours or even days making a homemade co2 cannon, or do I want to buy a co2 cannon or co2 jet system from CryoFX, which is only a bit more, if not the same cost, but save many hours of my time which can later be devoted to using the system and having fun with it.

Leave the headache of knowing all the technical details to the experts at CryoFX, they will provide you with all the necessary information needed in a way to fully understand it!

Given everything said, it should be an easy choice: Buy a CO2 Jet from CryoFX.com!

Can CO2 - (Carbon Dioxide) really be used for Special Effects and is it SAFE?

-->
Carbon dioxide is naturally found compound, which is combination of two atoms namely Carbon and Oxygen that forms CO2 gas which has some properties of odorless, tasteless and colorless. The gas CO2 has more to do with every aspect of our natural life and it is well revealed by the scientific research highlighting the importance of CO2. Since the beginning of the universe we are benefited from CO2 through various forms such as exhaling of the gas help plants around us to grow properly. Today, in the case with CO2, it is utilized in various applications such as fire extinguishers, hospitals, soda machines and many more. Moreover, the use of CO2 in our daily life is ever increasing in time with various applications. In addition to this, CO2 is also used in various entertainment areas such as plays, concerts, special effects and much more, where the name of the gas is known as CO2, Cryo or Cryogenics due to its low temperature. From here, Cryo as an element has been widely used because of its fine qualities, which are very helpful for many reasons.
CO2 Jet, LED Cryo Jet, Handheld Cryo GunCryo is a special effect that is produced in the air by bursting or shooting the thickly formed white clouds out of a Cryo Gun, also known as a Cryo Bazooka, Cryo Cannon, and Cold Fogger. This system is supported by the usage of the liquid form of CO2.  The process can also be referred to as “Shooting Plumes of Cryo Clouds”, in which “plumes” depicts the similarities as that of fog. The difference though, is Cryo or Co2 does not linger and does not stay behind leaving residue which fog tends to do.
Some CO2 systems contain Jet units of Cryo FX CO2, which are independent and have the capacity of blasting the Cryo fog into the air with considerable pressure. The design of the CO2 Jets is formed around user convenience, making the CO2 Jets installable on different locations such as walls, floors or any other area as per requirement. The operator could, then easily use the CO2 jet units, or also known as CO2 Cannons, to spray at specific directions. With some CO2 Cannons, the user can move the nozzle by DMX control while the CO2 Cannon sprays. The control of the CO2 system is based on two options; ON/OFF switching and DMX 512. When activated, the CO2 System releases CO2 once the operator activates the control of the CO2 Jets. In normal conditions the system remains in the OFF state. After operator activates the CO2 Jets, the Cryo fog will start spreading out within a few seconds. The formation of fog is based on the humidity factor, the more humidity is, the thicker fogs will be generated and thus it will take more time to dissipate. CO2 has special quality of leaving no extra elements and it doesn’t set off alarms in smokes detectors such as fog would. If the CO2 Jet is hung among a group of people in a Nightclub, Bar, or Production, the CO2 System will lower the temperature to a considerable level with in 4 to 6 seconds.
CO2 Systems from CryoFX come with all necessary accessories and fittings required for operation. CryoFX offers many CO2 Jets including moving head Cryo Jets, Cryo Cannon LED jets and other handheld units such as Cryo Bazooka, Cryo Cannon, Kryo Gun, Dual Barrel Cryo Blaster and many more. The Co2 Fog from LED Cryo Jet acts like fire when its LED settings are red or orange light. CryoFX CO2 Jet system can be used by plugging into common outlets such as 110vac or 220vac with many various types of plugs. CryoFX products have a unique feature of establishing the safe pressure of no more than 1500 psi and the temperature level of -40 Degree Fahrenheit. The CO2 Jet system comes with everything installed having proper connections from CryoFX. More information on various units of high pressure and low-pressure tanks can be obtained from www.CryoFX.com/english/Product-Knowledge
